New MEC drum arrives at AGI’s Nehoiu Forestry Complex

March has seen AGI take a significant step forward towards restarting its wood pellet production at the Nehoiu Forestry Complex. Following the long awaited and eagerly anticipated arrival of a new drum dryer supplied by MEC, AGI is embarking on the installation of the new equipment and hoping to commence the start-up phase towards the end of May. MEC has fabricated the drum at its factory in Kansas, USA, along with other critical drying line components, including a full Exhaust Gas Recycle System, which will ensure not only efficient but also safe and environmentally responsible production. MEC will be on-hand to coordinate and oversee the installation and start up and will provide ongoing technical engineering support to AGI.
